HomeLanguage is the dress of thought.Jul 17, 2007
The ēּkläb, English Club of Marikina Science High School, aims to make this site an instrument to promote the English language. It is also one of the projects that we planned to accomplish before school year 2007-2008 ends. One down. Few more left.

You may ask what this site is for? In this site, you may post some of your original works. Those you don't mind sharing. Who knows, it may gain recognition during the flag ceremonies. Not only through that, but we will do everything so that your works get what they deserve.

We also see this site as something able to create a friendly community of English language lovers. We only got to use and speak the language here. But that doesn't necessarily mean that we are to forget our native tongue. Besides, this site will help us use the language better to be competetive in the real world.

This site will also serve as bulletin for upcoming events under the e-klab and the department's supervision. We do hope that this site will serve well it's purpose.

English is fun. Speak it. Promote it. Love it.

Rationale of the Campaign
Statistics show that reading activity of teenagers has taken the backseat with the advancement in technology and birth of Computer Age. The teens would rather surf the Internet, chat via email, play virtual games and listen to their I-pods and MP4's rather than read both for knowledge and pleasure. As a result, their communication skills have deteriorated and emotional quotient has weakened as well.

Hi. This is Pattii Carbungco of I- Moseley and I'd like to tell you the Reader's Haven was great :D. But problems are the books. Once I went there to scan some books. SOME PAGES ARE TORN. And some of the readers are NOISY. But hey, at least the books there can be called "real books" because of its content. I sure do hope that the Reader's Haven won't disappear. Rock on English Club. LoL. Nice site. It's well-made.
